From 2019 - 2024 I led the production of all public programme talks, workshops and debates events for the Royal Shakespeare Company, taking place across Stratford-upon-Avon sites as well as in partner venues with shows on tour.
I developed events which provided insights into the company's theatre making processes and creative choices in an engaging, accessible way, whilst opening space for wider discussion on the themes and content raised by each production.
Through this role I was able to introduce co-creative practice and implement wider accessibility into the talks, workshops and debates programme:
- 80% of Director and Creative Team Talks were hosted by community leaders and their groups on a freelance basis, with lived experience/interests relating directly to production themes between 2021 - 2024.
- All Post-Show discussion events were BSL interpreted, scheduled to always follow a BSL Integrated performance.
- Unwrapped: Chilled events were created in collaboration with Open Theatre, developing traditional Unwrapped events for audiences with learning and physical disabilities.
My role leading on the RSC's production of the public talks and workshops programme contributed to the creation of the RSC's Interval Drinks Podcast (2020-2023).
